What is the Public Meditation Project?

The short answer: we create and track meditation flash mobs.

The long answer: We are a social and spiritual experiment dedicated to bridging the gaps between inner peace and world peace. EnlightenNext Magazine said about the Public Meditation Project: it “…may represent the next big thing among Gen-Y spiritual seekers in America, and the trend seems to be catching on fast.”

There's no central leadership (think "project mayhem" from fight club), anyone can organize and create a meditation flash mob, and you may use all our logos and promotional materials.

We're about creating social change through collective action. We encourage everyone to meditate in public so our collective peace can create social change. All forms of meditation are welcomed, including prayer or simply silence.

Now go organize your own meditation flash mob! (hint: all you need is a time and a public location).
